This revision aims at updating the regulation with legal innovations on the operation of ports and port facilities.

Public consultation and hearing n. 1/2020 plans to collect public opinions on the revision of Ordinance n. 251/2000 in order to improve the regulation on non-discriminatory access to waterway terminals by interested third parties.

The public participation intends to make the ordinance compatible to a number of regulations, such as the establishment of the National Water Transportation Agency (ANTAQ), Law 12.815/2013 known as “Ports Law” and its revision by Law n. 14.047/2020 and other technical regulations. It also presents the opportunity for the inclusion of new topics with regard to port operation.

Contributions can be submitted until October 10 and the hearing is scheduled to November 12.
