The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) submitted to public consultation, for a period of 45 days, three amending proposals to Brazilian Civic Aviation Regulation (RBAC) n. 36, regarding aircraft noise requirements, and another to RBAC n. 21, regarding aeronautical product certification. The proposals seek to harmonize the Brazilian regulation to the norms of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), improving industrial competitiveness and environmental protection.
Public Consultation n. 22/2020 aims at collecting public contributions on the amending proposals n. 29, 30 and 31 to RBAC n. 36 and on the editing of an amending proposal to RBAC n. 21. The proposals were based on regulations from the United States, namely Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 36 and Title 14 CFR Part 21 from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The proposals plan to incorporate noise certification requirements for tiltrotors aircraft, Stage 3 noise level for helicopters and Stage 5 noise level for civil and transport subsonic jets. The incorporation of those requirements hopes to align the RBAC to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) guidelines, facilitating aircraft foreign trade and noise certification as well as protecting the environment.
Contributions can be submitted to this electronic form until November 3. More information and access to the proposals can be found here (in Portuguese).
