The National Committee of Investment (CONINV, in the Portuguese acronym) at the Ministry of Economy enacted its Regulatory Agenda for improving the investment environment, covering 147 initiatives across 13 strategic themes for the 2021-2022 period.

CONINV Resolution n. 3/2020 from the National Committee of Investment (CONINV, in the Portuguese acronym) at the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber at the Ministry of Economy (CAMEX/ME) issued CAMEX’s Regulatory Agenda on the improvement of the investment environment for the 2021-2022 period.

The Regulatory Agenda is comprised of 147 initiatives across 13 strategic themes to be prioritized by CAMEX on its monitoring role regarding the regulatory framework for investment, in accordance with the National Investment Plan (PNI, in the Portuguese acronym), instituted by CONINV Resolution n. 1/2020.

CAMEX monitoring role supports Federal Public Administration bodies on editing, revising, compiling and revoking relevant regulations. The following strategic themes are to be prioritized:

  • Land and Hydro Transportation – 40 initiatives;
  • Capital Market, Insurance and Financing – 24 initiatives;
  • Energy – 21 initiatives;
  • Oil & Gas – 20 initiatives;
  • Customs and Administrative Control – nine initiatives;
  • Technology and Communications – eight initiatives;
  • Aerospace – five initiatives;
  • Social Security – five initiatives;
  • Health and Health Surveillance – four initiatives;
  • Defense – four initiatives;
  • Metrology – three initiatives;
  • Taxation – three initiatives;
  • Mining – one initiative.
