New wording for labor standards

New labor standards, published by the government on March 9 and 10, 2020, guarantees safety for workers through occupational risk prevention measures and action protocols in case of exposure to risks.  The Regulatory standards are the following: nº 1, stating general provisions;7, foreseeing the Occupational Health and Medical Control Program; and nº 9, foreseeing the Environmental Risk Prevention Program.

The texts have been simplified to make it easier for employers to understand. Bureaucracy has also been reduced, which will lower the costs for employers to comply with it. The new norms have a period of one year to take effect, so until then, the old rules continue to apply.
