Normative Instruction n. 61 seeks to speed up the registration of organic fertilizers and biofertilizers. It establishes the rules on definitions, requirements, specifications, guarantees, tolerances, registration, packaging and labeling of organic fertilizers and biofertilizers used in agriculture
Normative Instruction n. 61 seeks to adapt and improve the legal provision for granting registration of organic fertilizers and biofertilizers and to establish faster and more efficient procedures, as well as to include appropriate parameters for technological changes in recent years. Regarding the registration of biofertilizers, the norm highlights the improvement on the definition of parameters in the legislation, such as the possibility of declaring minimum quantities of humic and fulvic acids, amino acids, plant extracts and extracts of algae. In addition, the regulation adapts various standards for organomineral fertilizers, making the legal instrument more suitable for product registration, and more objective and clearer for consumers. This IN regulates inputs that are part of the recently launched Bio-Input Program.
