Public consultations on relevant themes launched – The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (MAPA) opened three public consultations regarding normative initiatives related to agricultural defense, the use of biological and microbiological products in pest control, and the registration of phytochemical and microbiological products
- Ordinance n. 102/2020, of May 27, opens a 90-day public consultation to discuss the proposed Normative Ruling (INC) on the procedures to be adopted for the registration of phytochemical products that are characterized as agrochemicals and related, whose active ingredients are obtained exclusively from raw plant materials.
- Ordinance n. 103/2020, of May 27, opens a 90-day public consultation to evaluate the proposed Normative Ruling (INC) on the procedures to be adopted for the registration of microbiological products that function as agrochemicals and related products.
- Ordinance n. 107/2020, of May 29, submits for a 45-day public consultation the preliminary list of current normative acts related to agricultural defense. The purpose of the consultation is to allow broad social participation in the survey of normative acts related to the agricultural and livestock defense.
Ordinance n. 110/2020, of June 12, opens a 45-day public consultation to evaluate the proposed Normative Ruling (INC) on the production of phytosanitary products with approved use for organic agriculture. The INC establishes minimum criteria for such a production and for increasing the safety of this type of input within agricultural properties.
