Public Notice for the 5G auction is under public consultation

The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) opened to public consultation the draft Public Notice for the auction of radio frequency bands, which will allow the implementation of the fifth-generation technology (5G) in Brazil.

The Public Notice proposes the bidding of the 700 MHz, 2.3 GHz, 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands and includes another 100 MHz in the 3.5 GHz band. It also foresees investment commitments that will enable more infrastructure and a higher level of services to users.

This auction is considered the largest in Anatel’s history. Contributions to the Public Notice can be submitted until April 2, 2020 (link above).
