Regulations on non-alcoholic beverages are under review



The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) is revising the norms related to the complementation of standards of identity and quality for non-alcoholic beverages (quinine tonic water, compound drink, tea, soft drink, soda) and, when applicable, its respective solid and liquid preparations. According to the government, the revision of standards is necessary due to the change in consumption habits, which motivated the launch of new products by the industry.Mapa submited the draft normative instructions to public consultation and suggestions can be submitted until April 27, 2020 at the Mapa website.
