Resolution n. 55/2020 and Resolution n. 56/2020 of the Ministry of Economy updated the list of capital goods (BK) and telecommunications goods (BIT) subject to the temporary exemption on the Import Tax granted by the “ex-tariff” regime.

Resolution n. 55/2020 and Resolution n. 56/2020 of the Ministry of Economy updated the list of capital goods (BK) and telecommunications goods (BIT) subject to the temporary exemption on the Import Tax granted by the “ex-tariff” regime.

The updated list of goods subject to the “ex-tariff” regime is also available in this link .

The “ex-tariff” regime exempts contributions directed to productive enterprises. The system aims to boost investments in BK and BIT without national equivalents and to enable the incorporation of technologies that do not exist in Brazil. The expected results are an increase in productivity and competitiveness and the multiplier effect of employment and income on several segments of the national economy.
