The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) launched the “BNDES Projects Hub” digital platform, presenting detailed information on long-term investment projects. The launch presented 41 projects, covering different infrastructure and energy sectors. It also seeks to serve as a networking platform for potential investors and BNDES experts.



The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) launched the “BNDES Projects Hub” digital platform, presenting detailed information on long-term investment projects. The launch presented 41 projects, covering different infrastructure and energy sectors. It also seeks to serve as a networking platform for potential investors and BNDES experts.

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) launched a digital platform on long-term investment projects, named “BNDES Projects Hub”. The platform, available both in Portuguese and English (link here), presents detailed information on BNDES’ long-term investment projects available for concession, privatization or public private partnerships (PPP).

As of the launch, 41 projects were presented, covering, among others, the following sectors:

  • Sanitation: 8 projects;
  • Highway infrastructure: 6 projects;
  • Street lighting infrastructure: 4 projects;
  • Electric Energy: 4 privatization projects;
  • Natural Gas: 2 privatization projects.

The following project data are also presented: type of investment and project revenue; development milestones; estimated investment; contract term; grant amounts; privatization and bidding formats; and estimated covered population.

The platform also presents sector profile analysis, covering the sanitation, highway infrastructure and street lighting infrastructure sectors, as of the launch. It also facilitates interactions between potential investors and contacts with the bank, through a logged digital area, where funding conditions for credit lines are also available.
