The Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) postponed, until the end of March 2021, the validity of pandemic-related contract flexibilization measures for exploration and production (E&P) operators. ANP also established transitory measures until the end of 2021.

Resolution n. 835/2020 from the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) postponed the validity, until the end of March 2021, of ANP Resolution n. 816/2020, which established contract flexibilization measures for the exploration and production (E&P) segment, due to the pandemic.

ANP Resolution n. 836/2020, which comes into force after the expiration of ANP Resolution n. 816/2020 (on April 1st), reorganized and replicated contract flexibilization procedures and deadlines for the E&P segment, representing transitory measures that will be valid until December 31, 2021.

Those resolutions seek to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the E&P segment, as well as provide for the disclosure of relevant information.
