The program seeks to create policy conditions for improving the economic attractiveness of mature and marginal offshore oil and gas fields. The exploration of marginal fields, regarded as marginal economic prospects, and mature fields is expected to amplify job creation and industry development through direct and indirect effects.
The Ministry of Mines and Energy will develop proposals for regulatory improvement, which must be submitted to CNPE until the end of June 2021. The deadline can also be postponed by 180 days.
