The Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX) at the Ministry of Economy launched a public consultation intended to provide additional import tariff exemptions for aircraft, other vehicles, and aerospace products under the tariff rules for the aerospace sector.
Public Consultation n.º 5/2021 from the Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX) at the Ministry of Economy intends to collect public contributions on a proposal to provide additional import tariff exemptions for aircraft, other vehicles, and aerospace products under the tariff rules for the aerospace sector, defined in Annex “I” of CAMEX Resolution n.º 125/2016.
The proposal concerns the incorporation of 82 Harmonized System (HS) subheadings to the list of benefited aerospace products (e.g., parts and components) manufactured in accordance with technical specifications and aviation rules and destined for the production, repair, maintenance, transformation, modification or industrialization of aircraft and other vehicles and their parts. The additional HS subheadings are provided in the consultation’s notice and on CAMEX’s website. It also extends import tariff exemptions to vehicles under HS headings 8801 and 8804.
