The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) submitted to public consultation, for a period of 45 days, an updating proposal to the measurement of Regulatory Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), which is used to support the estimation of grant amounts in valid railway concession contracts.
Public Consultation n. 2/2020 of the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) aims at surveying the public opinion on the update proposal regarding the measurement of Regulatory Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) applied to grant amounts calculation of valid concession contracts of the railway sector.
The proposal updated the WACC methodology through a probabilistic analysis of parameters from Brazilian and American railway companies, which can be found in the public consultation’s technical note.
The update complies with ANTT Resolution n. 4.075/2013, which provides a three-year update of the discount rate calculations.
Contributions can be submitted until November 1st through the public consultation’s website (in Portuguese), where the technical note detailing the update, procedures for participation and more information can be found.
