The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) updated its 2022-2023 Regulatory Agenda, including seven topics to the list of 108 priority, ordinary, and indicative regulatory initiatives to be carried out by the agency.
The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), through Ordinance n.º 6.740/2022, enacted its first ordinary revision of the ANEEL 2022-2023 Regulatory Agenda, enacted by ANEEL Ordinance n.º 6.705/2021 (reported in the 31st edition of the Regulatory Report). It comprises priority, ordinary, and indicative regulatory initiatives to be carried out by the agency in the next two years. The updated version is available on ANEEL’s website.
The revision included seven initiatives to the 2022-2023 agenda, partially originating from unfinished initiatives from the 2020-2021 cycle. They comprise three initiatives (two priority and one ordinary) in the Commercialization & Market theme, one ordinary initiative in the Generation theme, one priority initiative in the Research and Development & Energy Efficiency, and one ordinary initiative in the transversal category. The revision also provided scheduling updates to some of the other 108 regulatory initiatives.
